The Undying Glory of Cafeteria Muffins

When it comes to school meals, cafeteria food often gets a bad reputation. However, at Citadel High School, one item stands out above the rest: the cafeteria muffins. These muffins save the students morning after morning when they get too caught up in the rush of the school year to make breakfast. In fact, some students, myself included, skip breakfast just for an excuse to purchase one of these legendary muffins. Their incredible flavors, comforting textures, and the joy they bring to the school day make them a true culinary gem.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the muffins at Citadel High is their diverse range of flavors. From classics like blueberry and chocolate chip to more adventurous options like morning glory and double chocolate, there’s something for everyone! The long line of eager students waiting to purchase their muffins encompasses the communal love for them. As the students are passed their muffins, a smile grows on their faces because it's more than just a snack; it’s a moment of happiness that fuels their day. 

The biggest fan of the cafeteria muffins I know, student-athlete Avery Stade, says “Those muffins get me through long days of training and school. There’s nothing I look forward to more after a tough morning practice.”. As you can tell, they bring a strong sense of joy to the days of staff and students!  If you haven’t yet discovered the undying glory of Citadel High School’s cafeteria muffins, I suggest you join the lineup and try one for yourself!
